A little dog follows a woman named Diane into her yard and keeps her from getting near him for days.
On the other hand, a woman just anxiously waits for that special time when he will ask for tummy massages at last.
He never let anyone come close to him when he arrived in the lady’s compound. The lady gets so overwhelmed upon seeing him that she asks him if it is alright; she even uses the nickname sweetie to refer to him.
The Shy Beginning
She relates that he was so afraid and there were a few instances when she tried to touch her hand to the cage in which he is confined but he does not move.

Diane starts feeling anxious and wonders if he will bite her hand. She asks God in prayers to not make him bite her hand. She just wants him to be relaxed and tells him that the dog has not been around any human in his life before so this is the first time the dog is touching any human.
The very next morning, Diane calls the vet for the puppy’s checkup and takes the puppy to the vet’s office. The little puppy is looking at her with his side eyes.
When they got there, they could find the chip inside the puppy but he did not have any chip. He has septicemia and he is in bad shape. The nursing staff attempts to console him and tell him that he is courageous and fast.

In the conversation, Diane reveals that they had neutered him, chipped him, and vaccinated him. Mmmm, after that, he brings her home, and starts having some sort of a seizure and that was the first time she was able to touch him because he was so much sedated.
Slow Healing and Reconditioning
Diane then realized how small he was so she made a cute little area for him and then that’s where his recovery journey started. For three days he didn’t start eating so any time when Diane threw away he would turn and look back at her and she would throw another piece.
Later, Diane was glad she was able to ‘recondition’ him and teach him to associate her—the precious commodity or ”food’—with good things.

But then it was instant and he allowed her to be near him and trust him—it was quick. For him and then that’s where his recovery journey started.

Later, Diane was happy that she was able to recondition him and associate the valuable resource food with her presence. But then it was instant and he allowed her to be near him and trust him.
Diane was happy as she was able to pet him. Now she only gets chills when she tells about that, and she said that that was the first time when she could love him the way she wanted.

From that period he started growing up and was considered ready for adoption and Diane preserves his name, Roo.
He found his forever family and his new owner, Kathleen, said he runs around freely and just plays. Eve he wants to be doing and Kathleen regards it as a god’s favor to have him with them.
