We hate saying this time and again, but it really breaks our hearts to see heartless people abandoning animals out in the cold and leaving them to fend for themselves.
Take this lovely little white furry baby who was abandoned on the side of the road. If it was not for a good samaritan who spotted him on the grass, he would have died.
The person who saw the dog lying motionless by the side of the road, quickly rushed over to him and took him to the hospital.

Upon examining him, the vets said that he was very weak and in need of serious medical care.
He was so weak that he found it difficult to move even a muscle. And to add to it, there was a wound on the top of his head, which the vet said could be a sign of abuse and neglect.
Overcoming Obstacles
At the hospital, the dog, who has been given the name Frost, needed a few days to recuperate. Once better, he was shifted to a shelter for abandoned canines like him.
The dog was extremely timid and nervous, and slunk away to corners, avoiding meeting people.

Realizing that this is probably the result of abuse and harsh treatment, the staff took it upon themselves to make things better for him.
“Even after we were able to stabilize him, he cowered in the corner for days, refusing to look us in the eyes out of fear,” a post from the rescue shelter’s official Facebook page read.
They started to shower Frost with love and attention, taking care of his every little need and cuddling him at every chance.

They wanted to show him that he was loved and in a space surrounded by affectionate people who cared for him.
Gradually, after receiving loving and friendly behavior, Frost began to open up more.
A Happy Ending
As time went by, he became friendlier, wagging his tail when he saw the staff. In fact, the very first time he wagged his tail was a very moving moment for all of them.
All was well, but there remained one issue that needed to be solved—his decaying teeth.
He was taken to surgery where he had to undergo the removal of 23 of his teeth. But he coped well with the help of the staff.

Once everything was done, he was fit, happy, and as healthy as a horse. The rescue center put him up for adoption, and he was soon taken in by a very loving family.
We are very happy that this little pup got the love and care he always deserved, and that he finally has a family to call his own. Stay great, champ. We love you.
