All creatures are the gift of nature to earth. And everybody deserves a fair chance at life. Needless to say, that includes dogs too. But as they say, bad luck strikes early in some people’s lives.
That was certainly the case with Luna, a little puppy who suffered serious radius and ulna fractures after she was run over by an electric scooter early in her childhood.
She was in an unspeakably bad state until she was discovered by a shelter that took her in because of her physical state.
Over time, her fracture began to heal but she was not getting adopted because of a cleft lip. Time went by, and ultimately she was put on the ‘put down’ list as there was serious overcrowding at the shelter.
However, she was saved in the nick of time. In the midst of all this, she was taken to the vet for an inspection. The doctor discovered that although her injuries were healing up fast, her fractures were taking time to heal.
Saved Just in Time and Given a Second Chance
She was also having trouble breathing because of some of the injuries. The doctor then improvised a breathing tube for her which would help her sleep soundly.
That worked like magic and started a new turning point in her life. Having received better sleep and rest, she began to recover much faster than before. After a certain point of time, she started playing around like a normal puppy her age and received a bath for the first time in her life.
With time, her condition got better and soon she was fit to be placed on an adoption list. And it was not long before a family came in and adopted her.
The people at the shelter were overjoyed and sent Luna off to her new home with a lot of love and fanfare.
New Beginning with a Forever Family
According to reports, she has become an inseparable part of her new family and they are continuing her treatments. She also has a few other pups her age she plays with and is very well looked after.
While we don’t know what is to happen ultimately in regards to her full recovery, things look very bright for her. She has found a new lease of life and is seemingly enjoying it to the fullest. What more could we ask for?
