Human cruelty towards animals is unacceptable in any form, but who can imagine that someone could be so heartless towards weeks-old pups who had not yet opened their eyes?
Nine adorable puppies were rescued by a good samaritan after they were put in a bag and thrown out of a car in Broome County, New York.
It so happened that the man, who was just passing by the street, saw the bag lying in a corner. He picked it up, thinking that it was someone’s garbage bag that they forgot to throw away. To his shock, the bag started moving, prompting him to open it.
To his utter shock and surprise, there were nine little pups in it, who were only a couple of weeks old and who had not opened their eyes and ears yet.
Surprised and concerned, the man took the pups to the Broome County Humane Society, where a vet examined them to see whether they were doing fine. To his relief, the pups were doing very well and had no diseases.
Later that night, the shelter posted about it on Facebook.

“Nine adorable puppies were saved after being callously thrown out of a car in a bag. A bystander mistook the bag for garbage, only to find out it was filled with 9 teeny tiny neonatal puppies who were just 2 weeks old. Their eyes and ears hadn’t even opened yet. It’s heartbreaking to think about the cruelty these innocent creatures faced,” the post reads.
After the puppies had received a certificate of good health, the puppies were taken to a foster home where their mom was an experienced vet technician.
She showered the babies with love and took round-the-clock care of them.
A Loving Foster Home for the Pups
They were soon rid of all their past traumas. Well-fed, cared for, and in a safe environment, they were finally being treated like the precious little gems that they were.
Although they had to suffer cruelty and neglect at the beginning of their lives, they were now in the safest place in the world.
Once they reach eight weeks of age, they will be put up for adoption. Until then, they will continue to be treated with love and care in their foster mom’s safe haven.
