Rescued Dog Amy Waits for Her Mom to Tuck Her In Every Night

Amy is a rescue dog who was saved from being put down by a woman who then adopted her.

Dogs are man’s gift from God. They are one of the few creatures on earth who can love selflessly and never demand anything in return.

A roof above their heads, timely food, and above all— a kind, loving heart are all they desire.

And yet, for some humans, it’s too much to ask for.

Amy, a beautiful and loving senior dog, was abandoned by her owners and had to take refuge in an already overcrowded shelter at Riverside in California.

She won over all the shelter volunteers with her loving and angelic nature.

Amy’s Close Call with Euthanasia

Although she was abandoned by her owners, that could not dampen her spirits and she was always an absolute joy to everyone around her.

Everybody hoped that one day she would find a new home.

However, time went by and like many others in the shelter, Amy also ended up on a ‘to be put down’ list—that is on the list of dogs to be euthanized.

As the days drew near, people at the shelter were sad about the impending fate of their beloved canine.

But good fortune stepped in, and she soon found herself in a better position.

An unnamed woman and her husband stepped in and decided to rescue Amy from her fate. They learned about Amy from the social media group SavingRiversideSheterDogs and sprung into action.

They contacted Mutt Love Rescue and Love’s Legacy Rescue in California and took Amy out of the shelter.

A New Chapter

And then. There was no looking back. Amy had finally found a new home, a new family who adored her.

She is extremely attached to her new mom and spluttered her face with kisses the moment she met her. At home, she is a loved and valued member of the family. And now she has an adorable bedtime routine that will melt your heart.

It turns out that she does not go to sleep until her mom tucks her in bed each day. When her mom has finished tucking her in, Amy thanks her with kisses and loving licks to her face.

The entire story along with the video was posted on the woman’s TikTok as a message to people to adopt more strays and give them a new home.

Heartwarming, right? Well, god bless Amy and her new family.
